Orienteering at school for ages 6-12, Chapter 21: EXERCISES “ORIENTATE THE MAP”, Star-O outdoor, three controls

THIS IS A VERY GOOD activity both to develop the technique of orientating the map and to develop students’ fitness when the students have managed the green difficulty level. The exercise is great to perform as an interval session. One course per map. Students can work in pairs or in groups during warm up by putting out control markers.
