FIDE ratings January 2023

At the beginning of 2023 FIDE published its new ranking list. With a rating of 2859 Magnus Carlsen continues to be clear number one, and apart from Ding Liren he is the only player with a rating of 2800+. 40 players have a rating of 2700+. Hou Yifan remains number one the the women's list, Alireza Firouzja is the best junior and Bibisara Assaubayeva is the new number one on the list of female junior players.
