Rurouni Kenshin is the hugely popular franchise based on Nobuhiro Watsuki’s manga which features the wanderings of Himura Kenshin who was once a fierce and bloodthirsty assassin during Japan’s Bakumatsu period but since the advent of the more peaceful Meiji era has chosen to wander Japan offering help to all who need it in order to atone for the lives he took as a soldier.
