Hikaru Nakamura Received a Special Prize for His Hat-trick in Zurich

On Wednesday, May 17, an American grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura, the threefold winner of Zurich Chess Challenge super tournaments (in 2015, 2016, and 2017), received a special prize for his prominent achievement. The award, which was set up by the tournament’s main organizer, a Russian businessman Oleg Skvortsov and his wife Natalya Shevando, is an exclusive Rolex watch.  The ceremony took place at the RCF Chess Museum and was also attended by the repeated World Women’s Champion Hou Yifan.
