The ambitious project includes the party halls and the private apartments of the Dukes of Savoy, the gardens and the park with nymphaeums, grottos, fountains and statues. Its construction continued until the end of the 18th century, and was characterized by changes in style and taste due to the series of court architects succeeding one other: Garove, Juvarra and Alfieri.
