The Syphon Filter series made a name for itself on the PS one in 1999 and kept the series on the same console even after the PS2 launched in 2000. Syphon Filter 3 was released in 2001 and ever since then, developer Sony Bend has been working on updating the franchise for the next generation of PlayStation. Two and a half years later, the Syphon Filter series is arriving a little late to the PS2 party that's been raging for the past few years, but it's bringing some new party favors in the form of some fresh new online capabilities.
