Wakatsu Kiryū (Japanese: 桐生 (きりゅう) 八 (わかつ) , Kiryū Wakatsu) was a third-year student at Mujinazaka High. He was the captain, a wing spiker, and ace for the Boys' Volleyball Team. At the time of his introduction, he is stated to be one of the top three aces in the nation. Post-timeskip, he is an outside hitter for the Azuma Pharmacy Green Rockets, a professional volleyball team in Division 1 of Japan's V. League.
